With the start of the trout season on 16th March, early-season fishing can be a little technical — but with patience, it’s often very rewarding. Working the slower water can be particularly productive, whether you’re using a dry fly or a dry‑dropper setup.
As the water warms heading into April, we should begin to see the grannom hatch. When this happens, switching to elk‑ or deer‑hair caddis patterns is strongly recommended.
